If you would like to obtain a 2010 Rally Book please send a cheque, made payable to The Caravan Club, East Hants Centre, to the Hon. Secretary, who's address you will find in the Club handbook. The cost is £2.50 + 80p for postage and packing.

Chairman's Message

Here we are into 2010 and we continue to be as optimistic as always.

The year has certainly had its moments, but overall, a success, as most of you have managed to put the uncertainties behind you and continue to support the rallies.

However, that doesn’t mean to say we are out of the woods just yet, but indications are, that re growth is slowly becoming visible in some financial areas and in doing so, for some, investments will start to pick up…….I certainly hope so!!

I hope you will take advantage of our new “Book on Line” facility that has been put in place for your convenience, and hopefully get around the continuing trend to book late for rallies, this we hope, will encourage you to book rallies earlier rather than later, and in doing so, give your long suffering rally Officers a chance to make your weekend even better, as they will have a better idea of their probable contingent, to plan any activities that they may wish to put on.

As I travel around, speaking to other Chairman and their committee’s about the sort of year that they have experienced, it has occurred to me, that we are, and continue to be a very strong centre in terms of rallying numbers, some have not fared as well as we have, so I am thankful for that.

This coming year is the Bi Annual Wessex rally, please give this bank holiday weekend a lot of thought, as we could use your talents to earn points in the various activities that constitute this very friendly rally, it is a lot of fun for the whole family, young or old, so please support us and put your name down with the respective captains, I guarantee you will want to come again.

This is my final year and I’m sure some will say roll on 2011, but I have to say, I have had enormous support from you guys, and I am very thankful for it, to my long suffering Officers and Committee past and current, I thank you all for your perseverance and hard work, it hasn’t been easy for any of us at times, I am also grateful for the moral support that Viv has given me over my term.

So with the continued enthusiasm and support that you have all shown, we can only go from strength to strength, long may we be proud to be members of the East Hampshire Centre.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting of the East Hampshire Centre of the Caravan Club will be held at 2.30pm on Saturday 9th October 2010 at Overton C of E Primary School Overton

Notices of Motion for the Meeting must be in the hands of the Hon Secretary, in writing, and signed by the Proposer and Seconder, at least 35 days prior to the meeting, i.e. 5th September 2010.

Nominations for Officers or Committee, signed by the Nominee, Proposer and Seconder to be in the hands of the Hon Secretary prior to 2.30pm on 25th September 2010.

The Club Constitution permits the admission of members’ families but only registered Centre Members are entitled to speak and vote. Valid Caravan Club Membership Cards

will be required to be presented at the door and current membership of the Centre will be checked before Ballot Papers will be issued.

This is the only notice that will be circulated convening the Meeting.
