November2008

Hello and a very warm welcome to my first newsletter.

Thank you to everyone who voted for me at the AGM , I would also like to thank my Proposer Dave Hulbert and  Jon Noble who Seconded me as I didn’t have the chance on the day.

Thanks you for the  many congratulations I have had and also the few “Good Luck” remarks which has slightly worried me a bit!

After being given the Newsletter to run for the year I was handed over the tools for the job, this included all the past newsletters, which is a large dusty box with a creaky hinge!

I had  a few idea’s of items to publish, but thought I would have a quick look at past Newsletters to see how others had done it before me. Imagine my dismay to find that all my ideas have been done before!

I know it looks similar but hopefully there are some differences and a few items to make it an interesting read, but my dreams of a Booker Prize next year will have

to wait for a few more years!

I will still need all you input please like rally reports pictures and letters, also items for sale would be good as I'm sure you must have caravan items at home that you haven’t used for a few years It’s a chance to get a bit of extra cash in , also I could do a wanted section if required?

As you can see from the previous page I am  running a guess the young EH member page, so old photo’s of  East Hants members would be appreciated. All photos will be returned.

I plan to publish the Newsletter by the 7th of each month so all items by the end of the previous month please.

This year has been awful weather wise and what with the spiralling cost of fuel it has made caravanning & motor homing very difficult.

Thankfully the fuel cost has been dropping and we finished the summer off with some sunny weather, Keyhaven and Liphook being two.

The rally at Dummer was wet but still a very enjoyable and lovely to see so many faces we hadn’t seen for while.

Hopefully the Rally Program for next year will interest you as it’s a lovely sight to see full rally fields again.

Enjoy the newsletter, any comments are welcome, but please do send in your reports etc I cannot do it without all of you.

Mike
